About Gamescape center
At Gamescape Center we create and facilitate Pro-social Events that engage teens, fostering a community united by a shared appreciation for the inherent value of gaming and role-play. We recognize these activities not only as sources of entertainment but also as powerful tools for forging connections, building lasting friendships, and enriching interpersonal awareness and understanding.
We utilize a neurodiversity-affirmative approach. We understand and celebrate the diverse ways in which individuals experience and interact with the world. By embracing neurodiversity, we create an inclusive environment that welcomes people with varying cognitive and relational styles and preferences, ensuring that everyone can participate and contribute to the fullest extent. We honor autonomy and self-care.
Collaboration is at the core of our events. We actively cultivate an atmosphere that encourages participants to work together, combining their unique strengths and perspectives to achieve common goals. By emphasizing collaboration, we not only enhance the gaming experience but also impart valuable skills that can be applied in various aspects of life.
Our events feature games that are exciting but go beyond mere thrillsโthey carry themes that promote meaningful dialogue and introspection. Themes such as anti-colonialism, liberation, ecology, and inclusion are woven into the fabric of our gaming experiences. Through these narratives, we encourage participants to explore and grapple with issues of our time, fostering a sense of awareness and empathy that extends beyond the gaming table.
In essence, our Pro-social Events are more than just gatherings; they are platforms for building a community grounded in shared values, inclusivity, and a commitment to positive social impact. Through the medium of gaming and role-play, we strive to create a space where individuals can not only have fun but also grow, learn, and contribute to a more connected and understanding society.

Types of Games we use and how they are helpful
Competitive Games have players compete with one another and provide opportunities for practicing fair play, strategic thinking, frustration tolerance, and self-regulation.
Cooperative Games require players to plan and act as a team in order to succeed jointly, offering occasions for team work while forging tactics and refining personal abilities toward a shared set goal.
Deduction Games invite players to use deductive reasoning and logic to collectively or competitively investigate and solve a puzzle or mystery.
Dexterity Games measure reflexes as players physically manipulate pieces and encourages foresight, attention, nimble movement, and quick thinking.
Role-Play Games integrate collaborative storytelling, imaginative play, and improvisation around a set of guidelines and rules. They help facilitate interpersonal awareness, social skills, values clarification, and identity expansion.
Counseling and psychotherapy
In addition to producing and hosting pro-social gaming events and groups, our facilitators are mental health practioners. We understand the usefulness of honoring a clientโs passion for creativity and play as a path to work through mental health challenges.
